TAS will typically do one or two star parties by request each month.  Determination of which requests are satisfied are based on educational value, facilities, expected attendance, and availability of club volunteers.  The best time to schedule an Urban Star Party is during the 1st Quarter moon.  Also, historically, approximately half of the scheduled star parties are impacted by weather unsuitable for observing.  For those situations, we have the ability to setup scopes indoors and have activities available to promote astronomy.  Please send your request to the TAS public observing coordinator, Kenneth Harrison: tasobserving@gmail.com.
